Advisory: Beware of uParcel Phishing Scams
llvtx.cfd
The Singapore Police Force observes a trend of phishing scams impersonating uParcel, a popular delivery service. Scammers send unsolicited messages containing malicious links, aiming to trick victims into revealing personal or financial information.
How to recognise this scam:
- Suspicious Links: Be wary of messages claiming to be from uParcel that contain unusual or unfamiliar website links (e.g.,
llvtx.cfd). Always check the URL carefully before clicking. - Requests for Information: Legitimate companies like uParcel will not ask for your personal banking details, One-Time Passwords (OTPs), or credit card information via unsolicited messages or suspicious links.
What to do if you suspect a scam or have been affected:
- Do not click on suspicious links. Delete such messages immediately.
- Verify directly with uParcel: If you receive a message about a delivery, verify its authenticity through the official uParcel website or app, not through links provided in the message.
- If you have clicked on a suspicious link or provided your details:
- Immediately change your passwords for all online accounts, especially those linked to financial services.
- Check your bank and credit card statements regularly for any unauthorised transactions. Contact your bank immediately if you spot any irregularities.
- Report the incident to the Police.
