Scam Advisory: Beware of Phishing Websites Impersonating Events

ite-pm-event.netlify.app

The Singapore Police Force has observed phishing websites, such as those using URLs like ite-pm-event.netlify.app, attempting to impersonate event-related platforms. These sites are designed to trick you into revealing your personal information.

Here’s how to recognise these scam sites:

  • Unusual Website Addresses: Always check the website's URL. Scam sites often use suspicious domain names or free hosting platforms (e.g., .netlify.app) that do not match the official organisation.
  • Unexpected Event Invitations/Requests: Be wary of unexpected messages, emails, or social media posts inviting you to events, surveys, or asking for personal details, especially if they come from unfamiliar sources.

If you have provided your personal details or login credentials on such a site:

  • Immediately change your passwords for any accounts that share the same login details.
  • Monitor your accounts closely for any unauthorised activity.
  • Report the incident to the Police.
