Advisory: Beware of Phishing Scams Impersonating SPX

llkw.top

The Singapore Police Force has observed a trend of phishing scam sites impersonating SPX. These sites often aim to trick you into revealing personal information or making payments related to parcel deliveries.

Here’s how you can recognise such scams:

  • Unusual website addresses: Always check the URL. Official SPX websites will use their legitimate domain (e.g., spx.sg) and not generic or unfamiliar web addresses like llkw.top.
  • Unsolicited messages: Be cautious of unexpected SMS messages or emails claiming to be from SPX, especially if they ask you to click on links, provide personal details, or make payments for delivery fees or parcel tracking.

What to do if you encounter or are affected by such a scam:

  • Do not click on suspicious links. If you have, immediately change passwords for any accounts that may have been compromised (e.g., email, banking apps).
  • Monitor your bank accounts for unauthorised transactions. If you made any payment or noticed suspicious activity, contact your bank immediately to report the incident.
  • Report the scam to the Police via the online form at www.police.gov.sg/iwitness or call 999.
