We have observed a rise in phishing scams impersonating SingPost. Scammers are using fake websites to trick you into providing your personal or financial information.
Here's how to recognise these scams:
- Look out for fake URLs: Scammers often use URLs that closely resemble the official SingPost website but contain slight misspellings or unusual domain extensions. Examples include "vippos.love" and "singpoost.ink". Always double-check the URL before entering any information.
- Be wary of unsolicited messages: Be cautious of unexpected emails or SMS messages asking you to click on links or provide personal details.
If you think you have been affected by this scam:
- File a police report.
- Report the scam to the SingPost customer service. You may wish to contact your bank to take necessary actions, such as cancelling your credit/debit card.
Remember, I can ACT against scams!
- Add security features (e.g. enable 2FA, set strong passwords)
- Check for scam signs and verify with official sources.
- Tell authorities, family, and friends about scams.
