Advisory on Phishing Scams Impersonating Grab

grabk.vip

The Singapore Police Force has observed a recent trend of phishing scams impersonating Grab. Scammers use fake websites to trick individuals into revealing their personal and login details.

Here's how to recognise such scams:

  • Unusual Website Addresses: Always check the website address carefully. Scammers use slightly altered or uncommon domain names (e.g., grabk.vip) that are not the official Grab website (grab.com).
  • Unsolicited Links & Requests: Be cautious of unexpected messages, emails, or links that claim to be from Grab and ask you to log in or provide personal information, especially for promotions that seem too good to be true.

If you suspect you have fallen victim to this scam:

  • Immediately change your password for your Grab account on the official Grab app or website. If you used the same password for other accounts, change them too.
  • Contact Grab's official customer service channels to report the incident and seek assistance.
  • Keep an eye on your Grab activity and linked payment methods for any unauthorised transactions.

Remember, you can ACT against scams:

  • Add security features like Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to your Grab account.
  • Check for scam signs, such as unusual URLs, and always verify information with official sources.
  • Tell authorities, family, and friends about scams.
