We have observed a recent increase in phishing scams targeting DBS and UOB customers. Scammers are using fake websites to trick you into revealing your banking details.
How to Recognise These Scams:
- Fake Website Addresses: Be wary of website addresses that are similar to the official DBS or UOB websites but contain slight variations or misspellings (e.g.,
internet-dbs.oysterartgalleries.com or utrade1sg.top). Always double-check the URL.
- Unexpected Requests for Information: Be suspicious of any unsolicited requests for your banking login credentials, OTPs (One-Time Passwords), or other personal information. DBS and UOB will never ask for this information through unsolicited emails or SMS messages.
What to Do If You're Affected:
- Immediately report the incident to DBS or UOB using the official channels listed on their website.
- Change your banking passwords immediately on the official DBS and UOB websites.
I can ACT against scams:
- Add security features like strong passwords and enable MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication).
- Check for scam signs and verify with official sources.
- Tell authorities, family, and friends about scams.
