Advisory: Beware of Phishing Scams Impersonating Chan Brothers

sell.sctt.net

The Singapore Police Force has observed a recent trend of phishing websites impersonating popular travel agency Chan Brothers. These scam sites aim to trick individuals into revealing personal and financial information under the guise of travel deals or bookings.

How to recognise this scam:

  • Scam websites often use unusual or slightly altered web addresses that do not belong to the official Chan Brothers website (e.g., sell.sctt.net instead of chanbrothers.com). Always verify the URL carefully before clicking or entering any information.
  • They may feature overly attractive travel deals that seem too good to be true, or request sensitive personal details beyond what is typically required for a legitimate travel booking.

What to do if you are affected:

  • If you have provided your banking or credit card details on a suspected scam site, contact your bank immediately to cancel your card and monitor your transactions.
  • Change passwords for any online accounts that may have been compromised, especially if you use the same password across multiple sites.
  • Report the incident to the Police via the online form at www.police.gov.sg/iwitness or call the Police Hotline at 1800-255-0000.
