Advisory on Land Transport Authority (LTA) Phishing Scams

fnyh.top
fnyc.top

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) has observed a recent trend of phishing scams impersonating the Land Transport Authority (LTA). Scammers use fake websites to trick the public into revealing personal information or making payments.

Here’s how to recognise such scams:

  • Always check the website address carefully. Official LTA websites will always end with .gov.sg. Scammers use suspicious or unfamiliar URLs (e.g., fnyh.top, fnyc.top).
  • Be wary of unexpected messages or links. LTA will generally not ask for personal banking details, login credentials, or payments through unsolicited links or messages.

If you suspect you have fallen victim to an LTA phishing scam:

  • If you provided your bank account details or credit card information, contact your bank immediately to cancel your cards or freeze your accounts.
  • Change any compromised passwords for your online accounts.
  • Report the incident to the police.

Remember to "ACT" against scams:

  • Add security features (e.g., enable two-factor authentication for your accounts).
  • Check for scam signs and verify information with official sources (e.g., LTA's official website or hotlines).
  • Tell authorities, family, and friends about scams.
