We have observed a recent increase in phishing scams targeting Lalamove users. These scams often involve fake websites designed to steal your personal information.
How to recognise this scam:
- You may receive a link, often via SMS or email, leading to a fake Lalamove website that looks very similar to the official one. The URL may be slightly different from the legitimate Lalamove website.
- These fake websites may ask you to log in with your Lalamove credentials or enter your credit card details.
If you have been affected:
- Immediately change your Lalamove password and any other accounts where you use the same password.
- If you have provided your credit card details, contact your bank to cancel your card and prevent unauthorised transactions.
- Report the scam to the Police at https://www.police.gov.sg/i-witness.
Remember to ACT against scams:
- Add security features: Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) wherever possible.
- Check for scam signs and verify information with official sources. Always access the Lalamove website directly instead of clicking on links.
- Tell the authorities, family, and friends about scams.
