Non-Banking Related Phishing
Ninjavan

Advisory: Impersonation Scams Using Ninjavan Brand

ninjavan-post.cfd

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) advises the public to be vigilant against an ongoing non-banking related phishing scam impersonating Ninjavan. Scammers are sending fake messages to victims, often about package deliveries, and directing them to deceptive websites to trick them into revealing personal or banking information.

How to recognise this scam:

  • Unexpected messages: You may receive SMS or email messages claiming to be from Ninjavan about a package delivery or an issue with your delivery, even if you are not expecting one.
  • Unusual website addresses: Scammers use fake website links, such as "ninjavan-post.cfd", that look similar to official Ninjavan sites but contain unusual domain names or misspellings. Always check the URL carefully – legitimate sites will use official domains like "ninjavan.co".

What to do if you were affected: If you suspect you have fallen victim to this scam, or have provided your personal or banking details on a suspicious website:

  1. Contact your bank immediately to report any unauthorised transactions and block your card.
  2. Change passwords for any accounts where you might have used the same details.
  3. Report the incident to the police at www.police.gov.sg/iwitness or call 999.

Remember, you can ACT against scams:

  • Add security features: Enable two-factor authentication for your accounts and set transaction limits where available.
  • Check for scam signs: Always verify unexpected messages and scrutinise website URLs. If in doubt, visit the official company website directly or contact them via their official contact details, not through links provided in suspicious messages.
  • Tell authorities, family and friends: Report scams to the police and share this information with your loved ones to protect them.
