Advisory: Beware of Fake Job Offers on Suspicious Websites

fastnedglobal.shop
companyflc.business
coupang-vip.com

The Singapore Police Force has observed a trend of job scams operating through suspicious websites such as fastnedglobal.shop, companyflc.business, and coupang-vip.com. These scams entice individuals with promises of easy work and high returns, often leading to financial loss or the compromise of personal data.

To protect yourself, remember to ACT against scams:

  • Recognise the scam: Be wary of unsolicited job offers that promise high returns for simple tasks (e.g., liking social media posts, reviewing products) or require you to make upfront payments or share sensitive personal details.
  • Check for scam signs: Carefully examine the website URL and the legitimacy of the company. Scam websites often have generic-looking designs, suspicious domains (e.g., using uncommon extensions like .shop or .business, or adding terms like vip in unusual ways), and do not match official company websites.

What to do if you were affected: If you suspect you have fallen victim to a job scam:

  • Immediately cease all communication with the scammers.
  • Report the incident to the police.
  • If you have provided your bank details or made payments, contact your bank immediately to freeze your accounts and dispute any unauthorised transactions.
  • Inform your family and friends about the scam to help them stay vigilant.
