Scam Alert: Beware of Fake Job Offers Impersonating JoyBuy

maill-top.net

Recent reports show a trend of job scams impersonating legitimate brands like JoyBuy. Scammers lure victims with fake work opportunities, promising high commissions for simple tasks.

How to recognise these scams:

  • You receive unsolicited messages (e.g., via SMS, WhatsApp) offering attractive "job opportunities" with very high returns for minimal effort, often from unknown numbers.
  • You are directed to click on suspicious links (e.g., maill-top.net) or download apps that are not from official app stores, which are not affiliated with the genuine company.

What to do if you encounter or are affected by such scams:

  • Do not engage: Immediately cease all communication with the sender. Do not click on any suspicious links or download any files.
  • Report: If you have fallen victim or shared personal information/made payments, report the incident to the Police immediately. Inform your bank to secure your accounts.
