Advisory: Beware of Fake Investment Websites

uuttt.cc
ustt.work
gdcmining.shop

We've observed a recent rise in fake investment websites, often impersonating legitimate entities or promoting non-existent high-yield schemes. These sites aim to trick you into investing your money, which you will then lose.

Here's how to recognise such scams:

  • Suspicious website addresses (URLs): Look out for website links that contain unusual spellings, extra letters, or unfamiliar domain names (e.g., .cc, .work, .shop), even if they claim to represent known brands like "JUST" or "GDC Mining."
  • Unrealistic Promises: Be wary of investment opportunities promoted through social media, messaging apps, or unsolicited contact, promising unusually high returns in a short period with little to no risk. Always cross-check investment offers with official sources like the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Investor Alert List.

If you suspect you have fallen victim to an investment scam:

  • Immediately stop all communication with the scammers and do not make any further payments.
  • Contact your bank(s) immediately to report any unauthorised transactions and attempt to recover your funds.
  • Make a police report.

Remember, you can ACT against scams:

  • Adding security features like two-factor authentication (2FA) for your accounts.
  • Checking for scam signs by verifying unusual URLs or investment offers with official sources.
  • Telling authorities, family, and friends about scams.
