Advisory: Beware of Fake Gov.sg Websites Impersonating Official Government Platforms

kfy001.online

The Singapore Police Force would like to alert members of the public to a recent increase in scam sites impersonating official Gov.sg platforms.

Spotting the Scam

  • Check the URL carefully: Official Singapore Government websites will always end with "gov.sg". Be suspicious of links that use different domain endings or misspellings, such as "kfy001.online", even if they appear to be Gov.sg related.
  • Beware of unexpected messages: Exercise caution with unsolicited messages (SMS, email, or social media) claiming to be from Gov.sg, especially if they ask you to click on links, download files, or provide personal and banking details. Official government agencies will not request sensitive information via unverified links.

What to do if you are affected

If you suspect you have clicked on a suspicious link or provided your personal or banking details on a fake Gov.sg website:

  1. Immediately change your online banking passwords and any other passwords that might be compromised.
  2. Report the incident to your bank and monitor your accounts for any unauthorised transactions.
  3. Report the scam to the Police.
